We are looking for an experienced software engineer to develop and enhance the IoT connectivity of our Internet of Property Things system. You will lead our efforts to further develop and integrate our cloud software and hardware solutions to give customers an exceptional user experience.

As a small growing business, you will need to have the confidence and discipline to work under your own direction. This is a pivotal role in the organisation and as it grows you can expect rapid career progression into Senior and / or Management positions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Significant responsibility for the architecture of our IOT solution and its implementation

• Design and implement software to securely interface with 3rd party instruments

• Support the deployment of systems providing ongoing trouble shooting to end users

• Identify, prioritise and contribute to product roadmap

• Write quality software meeting industry best-practice

• Understand and design to ensure overall system security and maximum uptime

Qualifications/Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience

• has developed in multiple languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, Visual Basic, Fortran, PHP

• Experience in Object-Orientated Programming (OOP)

• In-depth understanding of embedded software including experience coding for an RTOS
  

Desired Characteristics

• Prior experience developing software for IOT applications

• Exposure to industrial control & automation technologies (SCADA)

• Familiarity with Agile project management techniques

• Experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally Facilities or Building Management
